We recently finished a bathroom electrical remodel for a homeowner in Milwaukee, WI. It was great working alongside a general contractor to make this project a success! This job involved full electrical support for a master bathroom renovation. The homeowner updated the space to improve lighting, outlet access, and ventilation. Projects like this often require detailed planning, especially when the layout or features are changing.

Bathroom electrical remodels are more than just wiring upgrades. They support the entire function and feel of the room. From proper lighting to safe outlet placement, each part plays a role in how well the space works day to day. This project was a great example of how electrical work fits into the larger picture of home improvement.

Starting with an On-Site Walkthrough

Like many remodeling jobs, this one began with an on-site visit. During the walkthrough, we looked at the bathroom’s existing setup and reviewed the remodel plans. The homeowner explained their ideas, including the type of lighting they wanted and where new features would go. We also talked through the basic needs—where outlets were needed, how the lighting should be controlled, and what kind of ventilation was required.

We paid close attention to the home’s structure and the current wiring condition. These walkthroughs help avoid surprises later and make sure everything we install is safe and up to code.

What the Bathroom Electrical Remodel Included

This remodel required a full electrical update to match the new design. We installed recessed ceiling lights, wall sconces near the mirror, standard outlets, multiple switches, and an exhaust fan. In bathrooms, it’s essential to think through both convenience and code. That includes safe GFCI outlet placement, adequate lighting, and reliable ventilation.

The remodel was completed in two phases. The first part was the rough-in stage, where we ran wiring, set up outlet boxes, and prepped connections for devices and fixtures. This work happened after demoing the space but before installing drywall or tile. Later, during the finishing phase, we returned to install light fixtures, fans, switches, and faceplates. Every part had to match the finished look and function of the new bathroom.

Working in Milwaukee Homes

This project took place in a Milwaukee residence. We coordinated with the general contractor throughout the process to keep the schedule moving forward. Planning around other parts of the renovation helped avoid delays and made sure everything was ready when it came time for the finish work.

Bathrooms are tight spaces, so it’s especially important to keep wiring organized and consider how everything will line up with cabinets, mirrors, and other final touches.
